i have such a soft spot for pathetic characters, especially if they’re monstrous. give me characters in torment, characters who are breaking, characters who make horrible decisions, characters who love and revile themselves in equal measure. give me kings on their knees. let them weep. let it be laughable and heartbreaking and for god’s sake if nothing else, let it be human.
